Novum’s Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Keith D. Gallicano, was invited to present in Peking, China at the Symposium on Modeling Approaches to Inhaled Products on November 28, 2018. This event was hosted by the Centre of Pharmaceutical Information and Engineering Research (CPIER) at Peking University in Beijing. This engagement comes as Novum launches an initiative to serve the Chinese pharmaceutical industry with its broad and unique capabilities that are well-tailored to the industry’s research needs for Chinese and US submission.
Dr. Gallicano presented on the topic “Design, Conduct, and Data Analysis of in Vitro and in Vivo Studies to Support Bioequivalence Evaluation of Inhalation Products”. Following the symposium, Dr. Gallicano was invited to meet with the Chinese regulatory (FDA) officials for discussions.
Since its inception in 2006, CPIER has organized dozens of international workshops on topics ranging from drug quality, safety and efficacy to government policy and legal framework. In addition, CPIER operates the master’s degree program in International Pharmaceutical Engineering Management at the Peking University, focusing on pharmaceutical quality and the integration of regulations with products and processes.
